Are Shun knives made in Japan?

The Shun listings on this site say the knives are handcrafted in Japan. Shun is a brand of Kai, a Japanese company, and the line is known for being made in Seki, Gifu. Check the exact model on its Amazon page.

Are Global knives made in Japan?

The Global listings on this site say Made in Japan or Product of Japan. Global is made by Yoshikin in Niigata, an area known for metalwork. Check the exact model before you buy.

Is every Kai knife made in Japan?

Not necessarily. Kai sells several lines, and a line may be made elsewhere. This site only lists a Kai knife when its listing says Japan.

What about Misono, Yoshihiro and Kimura?
